Development and Implementation of Immunomodulatory Cell Therapy in the Fight Against the COVID-19 Pandemic

The project seeks to develop the potential of cell therapy, which appears to be very promising in the field of COVID-19, but is at an early stage of research.

The ambition of the project is to implement advanced immunomodulatory cell therapy, specifically adoptive cell therapy and stem cell therapy, for the treatment of COVID-19 at the level of clinical trials. In addition, the project aims to map the latest scientific advances in immunity, cell therapy and COVID-19 using artificial intelligence, which will contribute to the timeliness and excellence of the proposed research, as well as help accelerate research at the global level. APEL acts as a partner in this project.

The project implementation period is scheduled for  March 2021 – June 2023.

The project is co-financed by the European Union.
